Across Central Texas, thousands of individuals are silently battling the effects of unaddressed mental health challenges, trauma, grief, and addiction. Traditional systems of care are often fragmented, expensive, and inaccessible—especially for those with limited financial resources, histories of abuse, or deep mistrust of institutions.

The Cost of Waiting

Many who seek help are met with long waitlists, sliding scales that still exceed their means, or services that treat symptoms without addressing root causes. As a result, trauma remains unprocessed, addiction cycles continue, grief is misunderstood and internalized, individuals and entire families suffer in silence.

When healing is delayed, pain doesn’t disappear, it spreads, fracturing relationships, burying potential, multiplying wounds across generations, and creates cycle of struggle that destabilize entire communities.

Our Response

Broken Lives Restored exists to meet an urgent and growing need for accessible, heart-centered healing.

We offer a safe, welcoming space for those who have been overlooked, dismissed, or priced out of care. Including individuals in recovery, survivors of trauma and abuse, those grieving all forms of loss, and anyone struggling with their mental health in isolation.

Our response bridges the gap between clinical treatment and community connection. We unite professional and peer-led care, blending evidence-based practices with creative expression and compassionate support. Through this integrated model, healing doesn’t stop at recovery, it ripples outward, transforming pain into lasting restoration.

Our Belief

Healing is a human right, not a privilege. Freedom from addiction begins by healing the wounds beneath. When access is expanded, barriers are removed, and the intertwined realities of mental health, trauma, grief, and addiction are addressed, lives begin to transform.

Lasting change happens when care is accessible, relational, and rooted in grace.

Without Intervention

The cost of doing nothing is too high, human and social cost continues to rise: increased substance use, untreated mental illness, fractured relationships, suicide, homelessness, and despair.

• Individuals with unresolved grief are 3x more likely to experience major depression and substance use challenges.

• Suicide is now among the leading causes of death for ages 10–34, showing how deeply unaddressed pain impacts every generation.

• 70% of individuals in recovery relapse within 3 months when trauma and grief remain unhealed

• 2 in 3 formerly incarcerated individuals return to prison within 3 years, often due to untreated trauma, addiction, and lack of community support.

• Average therapy cost: $150/session. Attending weekly sessions is $600 a month. Which totals $7,200 a year to receive care.
